Established in 2010, the International Elephant Project is a project of Wildlife Conservation International, a multinational non-profit organisation that has contributed over AUD$37 million (USD$25 million) to conservation projects across Indonesia and South-East Asia.
This incredible achievement would not be possible without the support and generosity of the many thousands of supporters around the world who have shared in our vision that Asian elephants will live in their natural habitat in secure and viable populations.
Our annual Impact Report celebrates these achievements and highlights the progress we are making not only for Critically Endangered Asian elephants, but also for Critically Endangered orangutans, tigers and indigenous forest communities.
Over the past year, the International Elephant Project has continued in its mission to ensure the survival of Asian elephants and to promote the welfare of all individuals within rainforest ecosystems. Together with its sister projects The Orangutan Project, International Tiger Project and Forests for People, a further AUD$5.6 million (USD$3.8 million)has been contributed to conservation projects across Borneo, Sumatra and Laos.
